flourishing란?
flourishing은 형용사로서 ‘(사업 등이) 번영(번창)하는’, ‘무성한, 우거진’, ‘성대한’, ‘건강한’이라는 사전적 의미를 가지고 있다. 어원은 ‘꽃피우다’, ‘개화하다’, ‘번영하다, ’풍부하다‘의 뜻을 지닌 라틴어 floreo에서 유래했다. 유사한 표현으로는 successful, rich, lucky, wealthy 등이 있다.
